I drank half a cup
How’d it get there
I didn’t look up
It’s not moving round
Should I drink it or not
It’s dead I am sure
The coffee is hot
I paid for this beverage
But flies I hate
I am very thirsty
And I am running late
I have an idea
I’ll reach in and pluck it
Don’t question my thinking
I’ll toss it in a bucket
Much better I’ll feel
When the deed is done
Who am I kidding
My coffee’s a toxin
To the line I will hurry
A new Coffee I’ll get
I might not be late
My thirst I’ll quench yet
To work I must rush
No time for a taste
The boss will understand
He’ll see how I raced
A story I’ll make up
No, made it on time
I made it to my chair
As the clock did chime
Alone at last my beverage to sip
I open the coffee with care
Closing my eyes and taking a whiff
I find a nasty hair
